Future Plans

The Parma Area Historical Society (PAHS) hopes that you will enjoy this slice of yesteryear, right in the heart of Parma.  We are working to maintain this jewel for all to enjoy for many years to come.

Over the past year, PAHS agreed with the city of Parma to lease the back 20 acres of the homestead to Cleveland Crops, a non-profit affiliate of the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities that provides training opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities in Cuyahoga County.  Cleveland Crops is an agriculture and food processing training program designed to create innovative work opportunities and new career choices for adults with developmental disabilities.

We garden and mow lots of acres in the back field up to where Cleveland Crops is located and encourage visitors to venture out past the pond to see what Cleveland Crops has been up to and has accomplished so far.

Stearns Homestead volunteers continually work to make the farm a more enjoyable experience for all our visitors, but we could always use more help!
